923rd Fighter Air Regiment, Shaobang AB

Remarks:
  • ** December 1997: During take-off from Irkutsk An-124 with two Su-27UBK on board (8522 and 8524) crashed into uptown killing 70 peoples. Two aircrafts Su-27UBK (not Su-27PU!!!) were delivered later, in 1998 (8526 and 8527).
  • * 6007 destroyed in 1998 (no photo).
  • Su-30MK2 (sometimes called Su-30MK2V) is based on chinese Su-30MK2, with minor upgrades.
  • 28 February 2012: Su-30MK2 produced by KnAAPO for Vietnam crashed in Russia during trials before delivery; pilots from Russian MoD survived.
  • Please note that many Vietnamese photos are manipulated, with false numbers. Two real aircrafts wear fake numbers, probably on the occasion of visits abroad: 8555 (blue camouflage, in the year 2011, probably it's 8531) 8588 (green-brown, 2013).

Sukhoi Su-30MK2, 2006.

First Sukhoi Su-30MK2 in green-brown camouflage was delivered in December 2011. All aircrafts delivered later are too in green-brown camouflage, similar to Ugandan (colours) and Indonesian (shapes) Sukhois.

Sukhoi Su-27SK overhauled in July 2012. Drawing in partially schematic (top), due to lack of photos.
